That man called the unit and said that the camera will not come on time because we are stuck in a situation here. Listening to him on the phone, the person present there thought that he was calling some influential person. That man slapped the cameraman, snatched the camera from him and threatened us that they will break the camera. Both of us were about to be beaten up, but we somehow escaped.”
Vicky Kaushal narrowly escaped being arrested
Vicky also revealed that he almost got arrested while shooting at the railway station in the city of Banaras. The actor revealed, “We had a camera in a van and we were shooting at Banaras station. The shot was that Nawazuddin Siddiqui would come out of the station, sit in a cycle rickshaw and leave. Though we were shooting with a hidden camera, we still demanded a proper single shot. When we were shooting that scene, we saw two constables looking at the camera and pointing at it, asking, ‘Who are you?’ At that time, I asked the driver to drive the van and escape from the station because the police had spotted us… That’s how Gangs of Wasseypur was made.”
